Manufactured to custom specifications, the aluminum lid highlighted here is designed for use with public area litter receptacles. This part had an unusual configuration, and at H & H Manufacturing & Metal Spinning Inc., we developed a sophisticated, dual operation spinning process to keep the cost of low volume production orders at an affordable level. Our expert metal spinning capabilities resulted in an excellent quality product produced quickly and at a reduced cost.

Crafted by our technically accomplished metal spinning production team, this part measured 24.0" in diameter x 3.0" in depth and featured a brushed metal finish. One of the benefits of metal spinning is that the process itself realigns the grain structure of the base metal and improves the tensile strength, which made 0.080" gauge aluminum sufficiently strong enough to fulfill the requirements of the customer's specification. By using a lighter gauge metal, we also shaved down the production costs.

Both in process and final inspections for form, fit, and functionality confirmed we met the customer's quality requirements. Manufacturing tolerances of ±0.030" ensured that the lid fit on the receptacle correctly. Even with its unusual shape, we were able to supply an exceptional quality product inexpensively and within a short time frame. We built this aluminum lid to complement the litter receptacle to be durable and strong enough to withstand the rigors of a public environment.
